How do i identify the mac address on my device?

The MAC address (often referred to as the physical or hardware address) is a unique identifier assigned to each device connected to a computer network. It's used by the network to identify each specific device and can be used for various purposes such as troubleshooting connection problems or blocking certain devices from connecting. In this article, we'll explain how to find the MAC address of your devices.

First, it's important to note that the MAC address is not just limited to computers. It can also be applied to other networked devices such as routers, modems, smartphones and tablets.

For PCs running Windows, one of the easiest ways to find the MAC address is through the Device Manager. To open it, press Windows key + X (or right-click Start) and select Device Manager. The list of all connected devices should be displayed on your screen. Double-click on a device from the list and then click on Details tab. From there you should select "Network Address" from the drop down list and you should see the 12 digit MAC Address mentioned in the Value box next to it.

For Macs, finding a device MAC address is equally simple process. Just choose About This Mac from Apple menu at top left corner of screen and then click System Report button under Hardware section on left side panel. Now go ahead with Network section in System Information page where you'll be able to see each devices with its corresponding details including it's physical address and other related information as well. Just check out with any one of them which one gives you twelve digit code written 'MAC Address' next to it or look out for Ethernet ID under Hardware UUID section located at bottom part of window for faster results in finding your actual physical address on a Mac system quickly.
